About Me

Alright? (insert a Bristol accent).

My name is Josh and I make funny and beautiful noises to picture. I bring the beats and rhythms from my drumming days and everything else came from immersing myself in films and music as a kid.
I’m passionate about storytelling and as I’m not so good with the words, I use music. I like to create a rich sonic landscape that supports the picture and brings something new for your ears!

I’ve just released my first album. An instrumental concept bringing together my love of the sea, scores for the Studio Ghibli films, 80’s movie soundtracks and John Grant (I wish I was writing music for films of the 80’s).

I live and work in Bristol but escape to swim in the sea, when I can, any time of the year.

Josh created two great tracks for the latest series of Morph. As is often the way we had precious little time but Josh came up trumps getting under the skin of the project quickly and delivering music that fitted the films perfectly.
— Merlin Crossingham: Creative Director and voice of Morph and Chas, Aardman Animations
Working with Josh has been fantastic. He has been passionate about the project from start to finish and has captured the essence of every scene perfectly. Josh’s music really pulled this entire film together and I couldn’t be happier with the end result!
— Josh Guyan
I approached Josh to develop a custom score for a pitch video for an upcoming documentary project. Josh worked quickly to produce a piece that perfectly matched the images in tone, whilst also bringing something new and creative to the final product. He was great to work with and happy to make amendments on my direction. I am very happy with the final result and feel the music adds a dimension to the short piece in a way that only a custom score could.
